I captured this evocative image in late December 2024 with my cherished Leica M10. The scene unfolds in the enchanting Sint-Annatunnel, affectionately known as the Pedestrian Tunnel, a true historical treasure boasting its stunning original wooden escalators.
Stroll or cycle through this urban marvel to Linkeroever (Left Bank), where breathtaking views of the Antwerp skyline await you. **Bridge or Tunnel?** In 1874, the community rallied around the vision of a connection spanning the city’s left and right banks. Numerous plans for a grand bridge over the River Scheldt were proposed, yet each one was ultimately shelved, primarily due to concerns about obstructing vital shipping traffic. It was not until 1931 that the decision to proceed with a tunnel finally came to fruition.
Today, the entrance buildings stand as a testament to time, remarkably preserved with their charming original warning signs and vintage fences, inviting you to step back into history.

Returns
Returns will be accepted for up to 14 days of Customer’s receipt or tracking number on unworn items. You, as a Customer, are obliged to inform us via email before you return the item, only in the case of:
- Received the wrong item
- Item arrived not as expected (ie. damaged packaging)
- Item had defects
The returned product(s) must be in the original packaging, safety wrapped, undamaged and unworn. This means that the item(s) must be safely packed in a carton box for protection during transport, possibly the same carton used to ship to you as a customer.
