After our stay in Riva Del Garda, our route would lead us to the gorgeous hills of Lombardy. We booked a bio agriturismo bed and breakfast in the little village of Salvaterello for the nights ahead continuing our tour.

I was astounded by the Lombardian countryside since the roads were so narrow and steep, and I had never envisioned the magnificence of going so high.

The kids were happy with such a beautiful swimming pool and a breathtaking view. Here are some photos of the location.

We had always meant to visit Milan, Italy’s capital city. The fashion epicenter!

It wasn’t easy to plan ahead of time with extremely high temps and an almost two-hour drive to get there. We’d always wanted to visit the Dome and stay on its rooftop. As a result, at 36 degrees, we’d melt like ice cream in the sun. We were able to purchase our tickets and were on our way. The view from the roof is breathtaking. I photographed the Milan skyline as well as the major square.

The Leica store with the outstanding Leica exhibition debuted a few streets deeper into Milan’s frenetic metropolis. Employees at the Leica store were really helpful in cleaning my Leicas and assuring that there was no dust on the camera sensor! What a fantastic service! Thank you kindly.

We resumed our city tour by visiting the famed Galleria. In this crowded city, it provided me with amazing photo opportunities. There were several little notable shops. Cartier, Rolex, and many more, to name a few.

We needed to get to the Apple Store since everyone in the family is an Apple fan. A beautiful modern building has risen in the middle of the Italian capital! Although the business was underground, the entrance was stunning. What a presentation and what a store…

There is almost no limit to the things that may be seen in this Italian heart. Yes, the locations are busy, but they are also magnificent buildings with a lot of history to view. Some photos from our city trek.

Running in high temperatures causes you to rapidly run out of energy. With the meter still reading 36 degrees, we called it a day and returned to the B&B to recharge, swim in the pool, and eat some authentically local food.
