We had a fantastic time in the magnificent vineyards of Lombardy, which produced the Pinot Nero wine. Our visit to the vineyard Conte Vistarino during our three-day vacation was amazing. The winery includes 800 hectares dedicated to the production of wine. The wine we were able to sample was inspirational, and it is worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. The link https://www.contevistarino.it The remaining half of our holiday would be spent in Italy's gorgeous Piemonte area. We've been to Piemonte numerous times and made some lifetime-lasting friendships. It also seemed like coming home to us, so we were eager to get back. The journey from Lombardy to Piemonte would take around 2.5 hours. We traveled some back roads with less than ideal tarmac to get around, but we did enjoy the grandeur of the Italian countryside. Nothing beats these vistas. It's just a puff of green meadows moving by. It does put a grin on my face.[/vc_column_text]

As we approached the city of Ovada, we were back in the vineyards of the magnificent Piemonte. Many evenings have been spent in this region’s ecological wine houses throughout the years.

The magnificent Casa Margarita is one of these B&B residences and wineries near Ovada. For many years, this has been our go-to spot. When you see the webpage https://www.casamargheritaitaly.com, you will understand why this has occurred.

I needed to get several views from the lovely estate nestled amongst the grapes.

The fountain in the picture is a natural water source. It was found many years ago and continues to generate water even in the world’s harsh heat. Something the locals are truly fortunate with! Here are some more images.

Unfortunately, our friends at Casa Margharita did not have any open rooms for the following several days. A second location, about one kilometer away from this winery, is equally well known to us. We’ve never been there, but the owner is also a share owner at Casa Margharita, and we’ve met before.

Casa Wallace would be our new home. It is a charming B&B in the gorgeous Piemonte with its ecological vineyards, yoga room, and horses.

Still, Casa Margharita provided me with beautiful images throughout my trek from one B&B to the other. The private Castel on top of the mountain in the early sun, near Cremolino.

Mornings bring gold, and there will be more to say later.
Let’s have a good time!
