Spending the night at Pairi Daiza.
Where can you sleep among the animals? There aren’t many places where you can accomplish this while still engaging with nature in total comfort.
In Belgium, Pairi Daiza allows it. Pairi Daiza Zoo is regarded as the most beautiful zoo in Europe.
This resort has been on our wish list for a long time. The entire family adores spending time with the animals, and we selected the most meaningful occasion for it: Christmas.
Pairi Daiza is home to almost 7,000 creatures from all over the globe, including birds, mammals, fish, and reptiles, and is situated on the old grounds of the Cistercian Abbey of Cambron, which has ancient trees and other historic buildings.
We got to the park at 9:00 a.m. The weather prediction anticipated 80% rain, thus the situation seemed to be wet. A day spent with umbrellas did not mar our day.
The park was lovely decorated in the Christmas spirit, which added a lovely delight to an already peaceful setting.
We spent the night with the white bears, as I previously mentioned, and the rooms were fantastic. The location is seen in the photo above. It was a fantastic experience.
The park’s beautiful buildings pulled me in. Seeing the temples were magnificent. They are constructed with stones from the historical location of the old temples.
Nothing is impossible if you know how to achieve it. This is an old but genuine slogan that may be applied precisely to the endeavour to build the Great Temple of Bali in the ‘Kingdom of Ganesha’ (Le Royaume de Ganesha), one of Pairi Daiza’s most interesting worlds. Ganesha is the deity of knowledge, learning, and research.
It gave you the impression that you were in Indonesia, even though the temperature was far from tropical. The presence of these majestic animals provided a true atmosphere.
I’ve never seen so many distinct kinds of elephants in one location before. It’s great to observe how amazing the animal-caregiver relationship is. It melts your heart entirely. It’s tough to put everything into words, but I hope the images communicate my emotions.
We entered the realm of China after a short trek. The location has a Chinese garden, a Buddhist temple, a traditional Chinese healing walk, an ancient Chinese teahouse, and, of course, the Panda bear!
Entering the African continent opened up a new chapter for me. There are lions, rhinos, and many more animals. A built environment with buildings constructed in the same manner as tribes live in their natural surroundings. It’s a must-see!
A baby rhino was playing in the mud with his relatives. His acoustic behaviour was wonderful to behold, and seeing him face off against the larger rhinos was a must-capture moment. It simply made everyone smile.
We had reached the end of the first day; it had been a rainy day, but we had enjoyed it. When night fell, the park was transformed into a magnificent Christmas story. A fantastic setting made of lights and music, which also produced a gorgeous sunrise. The images show it all.
In the morning, they prepare their trains, which transport you back in time. The steam locomotive was handled by well-known specialists and with heart since the rider was quite proud of it.
We were excited to start our final day after a delicious breakfast and a restful night’s sleep. This day would also begin with, indeed, heavy rain. But, as I’ve always said, there’s always sun after rain, and so it was.
We continued our trip and stayed at our overnight spot in the ice world. Lovely penguins in their world demonstrate their swimming abilities, sea lions perform their stunts and many more.
When you love animals as much as we do, you may take thousands of images in a single day. Pairi Daizy truly connects you with the elements of nature, and it is heartwarming to watch how hard they try to save certain species that are on the verge of extinction on our earth.
The park creates a setting that merges the most outstanding temple architecture from its historical construction.
Our vacation was fantastic, and our entire family enjoyed being near animals.
We are all grateful for Mother Earth’s bounty, and let us do our best to preserve all creatures alive in the face of global climate change.
There aren’t many huge things we need to do; if we all do a bit, we can make a significant impact.
And it can all begin right now.
Thank you
Heel knappe reportage. Fantastische foto’s.
