The evolution of the automobile throughout the last century.

Today, I’d like to go to Brussels, Belgium’s capital. It had been a while since I was able to get there, but today we would be visiting the Brussels Museum. It is entirely dependent on my health circumstances how many museums we are able to do, and there is no pressure; we will simply take it as it comes. The automotive museum would be the first stop in Europe’s capital.

When you enter the Parc du Cinquantenaire (French) or Jubelpark (Dutch), it becomes evident that Autoworld is much more than a museum. The Arch of Triumph, flanked by ancient structures, is placed in the midst of the finely manicured parc, where a.o. Autoworld is built. Some outside images:

My wife and I both enjoy automobiles. My career has been in the vehicle business for many years, so seeing or noticing a remarkable car still fills me with joy. An exhibit of authentic James Bond movie automobiles was also featured in the motor museum. All of the vehicles featured in the film No Time To Die were displayed.  This Bond In Motion display includes nine legendary automobiles, including Bond’s silver birch Aston Martin DB5, the Aston Martin V8, the J90 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, and the new Defender 110.

The famed Aston Martin DB5, James Bond’s automobile par excellence, is something to discover or be reminded of, as well as to experience those iconic sequences from the newest opus in the narrative of the most famous secret agent!

It was amazing to witness these classic movie vehicles in person. Seeing the movie clips next to the automobile and experiencing the activity done with it is fantastic. A lengenday automobile and motorcycle collection stood next to James Bond. Beginning in the early 1900s.

Autoworld is based on the Mahy family’s huge and well-preserved vehicle collection, which is one of the largest in the world. Ghislain Mahy (1907–1999), the company’s founder, was a lifelong technician who restored hundreds of automobiles over his career. He amassed a collection of over 1000 automobiles with his sons Hans and Ivan, including several Belgian brands such as Minerva, Germain, FN, Imperia, Fondu, Vivinus, Nagant, Belga-Rise, and Miesse. When the Autoworld museum opened in 1986, it included 200 vehicles from the Mahy collection.

It’s great to see how far the car industry has come. Electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles are now being developed in the industry. Everything is being done to get the world to zero emissions from cars. It’s wonderful to see years of improvement in such a short amount of time. Only 100 years have gone by, yet the rapid progress makes me nervous. As I ask myself, “Where does this end?”

After testing a variety of vehicles over the previous few weeks, it became evident to me that the electric automobile is not the future. Sure, it’s fantastic for short distances, and then it’s a perfect answer, but seeing them used for long distances and not being able to put out fires when the car caught fire, I’m not sold.

The electric car is currently exempt from car taxes, but we will face a significant tax in the future since car taxes will be paid based on weight. As we all know, when a battery is charged frequently, its capacity decreases, so where do these automobiles go? And who wants it after all these years?

Seeing all of these automobiles, old and modern. Cars are a passion for me, and I completely agree that we need to go to zero emissions. However, we must be cautious because the electric car causes more waste than zero.

It’s all about being honest. Don’t always trust what the media or government tells us we should believe.

Everything starts with doing your best every day. Try to waste as little as possible. Not even a very costly zero-emissions electric automobile will be able to eliminate that entire bundle of human waist.

Thank you
