From Dorengt to Belgium – day 3.

We were nearing the end of my little work break, and I was finally getting into the photographic flow. However, this is not the end of the story. First, let me tell you about this beautiful location where I spent the night.

Dorengt’s Gîte de Ribeaufontaine made me feel at ease. The historical integrity of Régine and Ludovic’s gîte, which is protected by an old walled farm, fascinates me. It definitely recharged my batteries and allowed me to enjoy the joys and tranquillity of the countryside at the Ribeaufontaine farm, a charming, peaceful site steeped in history in the heart of the Thiérache meadows.

I created a little gallery of this amazing area. It’s a place I’d want to return to since it had a great quiet relaxed atmosphere and a delicious breakfast. Love, as they say, goes to the stomach.

I could continue my journey with a full stomach and a warm embrace from the business owners. My motorbike was filthy, so I was looking forward to a good clean-up after my ride. But first, I have a 270-kilometer trip to my home address.

I could continue my journey with a full stomach and a warm embrace from the business owners. My motorbike was filthy, so I was looking forward to a good clean-up after my ride. But first, I have a 270-kilometer trip to my home address.

I find out where I was born after a few hours. I did, in fact, cross the border and return to Belgium. I saw numerous Mettet traffic signs after a few kilometres within my own country. Southern Belgium’s famed racecourse.
It had been reported that they had completely rebuilt it, so it was the ideal time to have a look at it.

The Jules Tacheny Circuit is a racing circuit in Mettet, Namur Province, Belgium. The circuit, which was partially supported by the Walloon government, was aimed to place the Charleroi region on the economic map. A few races will also be held at Mettet, decreasing the overall schedule of the Spa-Francorchamps and Zolder circuits.

The circuit’s layout is insufficient for large-scale races like Formula 1 or Superleague Formula. Its layout is short and twisty, making it particularly appropriate for small racing classes for race training.

I was returning to my back roads, and I really enjoy the feeling of independence. There is no one to cross and you are all alone in this vast world. Coming into open areas, I felt the wind blowing hard, yet the sun was still on my side. What more could I ask for?

As I reach my house in Mol, I begin to think about my road journey. The weather conditions I expected did not occur, yet rain, hail, and storm did not ruin the enjoyment. It was the other way around; I really adored the weather on my route and felt alive during the drive.

It was my first road trip with my BMW, and what a bike it is. Together with my new Canon R3 camera gear, it was a match made in heaven for me. Even on offroad kilometres, the motorbike offered me tremendous comfort. As a former motocross rider, this is something I like.

Almost 6 months I was excited to get on the road and begin this exploring mode, and I am really satisfied with the results. Even more excited to get back on the road and experience what else the world has to offer.

I’m grateful and fortunate with all of this beauty, and I’m going to wash and shine my beautiful German horse. It is time for me to rest and return to work in order to provide positive energy to others around me.

Thank you, Mother Earth, for displaying your true colours!
