Germany’s ride.

This title can truly go in any direction. The title might be interpreted in the manner we ride on German terrain. But we can also ride on a German motorbike. However, in this situation, we can have it both ways. Yes, there has been a delivery from the kind guys at Winge Motors in Belgium. It’s a BMW Motorrad dealer, and they just dropped off my new BMW R1250GS Adventure triple black.

Yes, the ride would take me to Germany, more particularly to Aachen. I’m biking through three different countrysides to get to Aachen. Belgium, the Netherlands, and, of course, Germany would welcome my presence on their highways.

The weather was not conducive to biking. It had been a very damp morning, and the roads were dirty as a result of the fall leaves. However, this time of year is also appealing. I landed in Germany after a 70-kilometer bike. Some photos.

The structure you see is the famous Zollmuseum Friedrichs, which links the Netherlands and Germany. The Friedrichs Customs Museum in Aachen-Horbach was founded in 1984 by Christian Friedrichs, the retired head of the major customs office in Aachen North, and focuses on the history of customs, from development and income sources to defending the local economy. Around 3000 items, including prohibited souvenirs and the moonshine business, are presently on display in 22 rooms of the former Aachen-Horbach customs office located on the Dutch border.

My goal is extremely close to the border, and with just 15 kilometers to bike, we were almost there. My destination was FC moto. One of the largest and most successful specialist shops for motorcycle clothing and motorcycle accessories with worldwide online shipping and a stationary shop in Würselen. At FC-Moto you will find a wide range of products from well-known brands as well as private labels.

Every biker enthusiast’s dream playground. With such a huge selection, it’s easy to lose track of time. When I recovered my watch again, I resumed my journey home. I appreciate riding the little German and Dutch roads with their gorgeous curving scenery and twists.

After a long period, this was one of the first large rides. It gives a smile to my face to be able to ride without any discomfort in my body and to enjoy the comfort and protection on the road. Who doesn’t like these sights?

It’s been over a year since I’ve been able to do rides like this. Seeing new locations and witnessing the scenery change while riding keeps the desire for two wheels alive.

It’s an addiction for me, and today’s bike made it pleasant in every aspect.

Always pursue your passion. We only have one life, and we must make the most of it. Sometimes we need a lot of life lessons to truly understand the meaning behind the agony we had to endure.

Thank you so much to Stefaan from Winge Motors at BMW Motorrad for his assistance. It’s been a long road.

It’s exactly what the photos told me today.

We’re on the road together! (samen onderweg)

Thank you!
