For me, it’s a bike that gets me where I need to go while also allowing me to discover new things; for others, it’s an F16 jet that takes them to the world’s most dangerous places.

A few months ago, I published a great story about a father and his son, who was a captain in the army and flew F16 jets. This is the link to the story https://wivtphoto.praktijk7zege.be/motorcycle-adventures/from-vespa-to-f16/

I returned a few days ago to capture some new photographs of the pilots and their work tools that they use to keep us safe.

At the moment, a television series is being produced about their experiences as F16 fighter pilots. It’s very impressive to witness their hefty chores and how they deal with them on a regular basis. I just needed to go back and photograph their flight skills some more. There is a reason why there are only a few persons who can get inside the airplane cockpit.

Some of the first photos I took.

Seeing the planes flying down at 300 km/h always puts a smiley face. The engine’s power and the man’s ability to operate it are both fascinating. It’s incredible how they always returned to the ground safely and also in one piece.

I shot a few more photos on their way back after a mission.

As you might expect, I adore speed, but I am no longer of the age to do so on the asphalt with my motorcycle. I adore the sense of liberation that comes with having two wheels on the road. It also gives me the sensation of gliding.

my bike – my ride

I need to feel free and go outside in order to keep my life flowing. There is a big number of people who are married to their smartphones and wedded to their tablet or computer in 2022. Yes, the internet has a lot to educate and read, but nothing beats being outside and sharing stories with people from all over the world. Connect with nature by viewing the creatures in the woodlands.

Last Saturday, I went for a short walk in the woods and encountered seven deer. We saw a buzzard fly away and a heron rest in the fields. When I see this, it makes me feel grateful to be alive on this planet.

Go outside, take photos along the way, and you’ll be astonished by the beauty you’ve captured when you come home. It’s not always obvious when you walk through the fields, but when you look back at the photo you took outside, you realize how lovely it was.

It allows you to fly and feel so free.
