The circle of life in one hike!

I spent a lot of time shooting in and around Mol’s Postel Nature Park. Every time I discover something new. Nature is wonderful because it is constantly changing and has an endless narrative to tell. I always consider myself lucky to be able to spend time in nature since it provides me with calm and tranquillity inside myself.

The forecast for today predicted highly foggy conditions. The fog creates a magical ambience in the woods. I appreciate its amazing look.

One of the first images I captured convinced me that it would be a wonderful picture morning, surrounded by nature and wildlife.

As previously said, being in nature with my camera is my me-time. My time is frozen at that point.
I carried Canon materials with me because there had been a lot of rain a few days before. I’d be setting up in the swamp and other wet regions, so I wanted to have solid waterproof gear on hand. Here are a few images.

It was a magical morning having the entire forest to ourselves. I could only hear the creatures in their natural environment. Some geese were swooping about before landing on the lake. A fantastic show to watch.

But not everything was ideal. We continued our hike and found a deer flat near a tree. There was something wrong, so we began looking into it. The deer died. Looking at the facts, it appeared that it was shot by persons who hunted in the nature reserve.

After losing our four-legged partner only a few weeks ago, it was tough and upsetting to see a dead deer laying. I couldn’t bear the thought of the deer lying there alone, so I did what I had to do: I gave the animal a proper last resting place. I buried the deer in its native habitat, giving it the serenity it deserved.

Because of the last moment, we were silent inside. With a tiny thumping heart, we resumed our walk.

As we approached the wooded part, the fog began to lift.
I noticed several colourful trees standing in amongst the strong black trunks. It produced a lovely visual.

I was pleased to see the winter flare and capture it in a photograph. The fog created a mystery in the park, and as I previously stated, nature generates something at every instant, and this hike was one with highly mixed feelings. These conflicting feelings were caused by the colourful items in their full beauty and experiencing death in such a short period.

This is the essence of life….     The cyclical nature of existence!

Mother Nature, thank you; let us be kind and respectful to her.

Thank you
