Something new in addition to Leica.

As you can see from my previous blog, it has been a rough few days, and with a weekend spent quite unwell and suffering from a temperature exceeding 39,5 degrees, it has been challenging to post a new story on the internet.

We feel a little better today, so let’s give it a go.

I’m working hard to add a new chapter to my Leica camera resources. In previous postings, I noted that I had taken a step toward mid-format cameras by purchasing a Fuji. But it didn’t satisfy me, so I sold the Fuji GFX50s II.

I desired to return to the cameras I had previously used. That was a Canon EOS 1D camera. Rain, dust, and other conditions were never an issue for this camera, therefore it was always my reliable work companion in any situation. Canon has always been supportive of me, and I am thankful for that.

It was a difficult decision since everyone is switching to system cameras like the one I have with Leica, and I wanted to go back to the DSLR. Returning to the Canon flagship, which delivers 16 frames per second. Completely sealed and accessible in any situation.

For sure, my Leica is the way to go since it seems like my camera to my heart and I adore the colours and clarity of the photographs it produces. However, this has limitations, which is where Canon comes in. I could spend a fortune on a non-M Leica camera. It didn’t seem right.

I didn’t want to sit in the dirt and water with my Leica M cameras since they aren’t sealed, and the danger of damaging an 8500 euro camera body seemed like a horrible idea to me.

So here’s my choice and one of the first shots I captured, with many more to follow.

As you can see, it does not have to be the most recent material to complete the job. There are several cameras available with a menu system that I am unable to understand since it is just too sophisticated.
For me, the most essential aspect of the image is the message it conveys, and I wish to continue generating it.

Along with my Leica, which always makes me happy, this is what it’s all about.

Creativity provides happiness and a smooth flow of life. Listen to yourself and try to feel what is good for you rather than what is good for the world around you.

When you’re satisfied with it, that happiness spreads to the rest of the world in the form of positive energy, and who doesn’t want that?

Thank you
